Presentations should be concise, comprehensive and innovative.

The winners will be selected by a scientific committee from the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

In order to be considered, your abstract must :

  • be in English (500 words max)
  • be submitted as a PDF
  • be written as continuous text without subheadings (while clearly describing the Aim of the Study, Methods, Results and Conclusion)
  • identify a presenting author and list all authors associated with the abstract
  • list affiliation in the following order: Group/Laboratory department/institution, Organisation, Town/City, Country
  • not include references or acknowledgements

Narrative reviews/education/trials-in-progress/case report abstracts are allowed.

Specific results must be included and stated in the abstract, whether experimental or calculated. The latest data may be included in the final presentation, but the results in the original abstract must be substantive.

ACCEPTED TOPICS

Abstracts should focus on advanced clinical therapies for neurological indications or rare indications with a neurological component:

  • Nonclinical Model Systems
  • Clinical Translation & Application
(clinical trials, real-world data, disease-specific clinical advances, rare clinical trial designs)
  • Therapeutic Engineering & Optimisation
(e.g. strategies for vector development, manufacturing innovations)
  • Synthetic Delivery Platforms
    (e.g. non-viral delivery, oligonucleotide platforms)
  • Regulatory Strategy
(e.g. new frameworks and strategies enhancing patient access, complexity and problems of current regulatory environments)
  • Gene-Editing Technologies
(e.g. CRISPR-based editing, in vivo engineering)
  • Computational Tools
(e.g. AI-driven advancements for therapeutic design)
SUBMITTING AUTHORS
  • The symposium will be in-person only.
  • The presenting author must register for the Future of Advanced Therapies in Neurology symposium and present in person on Monday October 19, 2026.
  • You cannot submit an abstract on behalf of the presenting author. The submitting author must be the first (presenting) author. There can only be one first (presenting) author. Your colleagues’ contributions may be recognized in your presentation.
  • Please ensure that the email of the presenting author will be valid until at least the end of the conference.
  • Should you not be able to be present, another author listed on the abstract may present, however they will have to register for the conference separately. Please contact events.neurocru@mcgill.ca with #Abstracts in the subject line to notify the organizer of the change.
  • If you wish you withdraw your abstract, please do so immediately by contacting the organisers at  events.neurocru@mcgill.ca with #Abstracts in the subject line.
  • Please note that co-authors do not receive communication related to the abstract submission. First (presenting) authors are responsible for coordinating communication with co-authors,  and confirming that each co-author has agreed to all information as it was submitted.
